Emma is originally from Eastbourne in Sussex, but since moving to Cardiff in 2012, has very much adopted Wales as her home, learning Welsh and thriving in the intricacies of devolution.

Emma has worked in Welsh politics and external affairs roles launching policies with the Welsh Conservatives in the then National Assembly, writing and developing RNIB Cymru’s 2016 manifesto and setting up the cross-sector Cross Party Group on Medical Research for BHF Cymru. She won BHF Cymru three awards at the PRCA awards in 2020 for the Campaign to include CPR on the new Welsh curriculum. You can find her on LinkedIn.

Prior to working in Wales, Emma studied for her Masters’ in Human Rights Law and was the Communications Officer for the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, working on the national commemoration which is televised every 27 January. In 2017 with her former name she stood as the Parliamentary Candidate for Cardiff South and Penarth for the Welsh Liberal Democrats.

Outside of politics, in 2013 Emma set up and was the chair of City Sirens A Capella ladies’ choir until 2017.  She was part of the Board of Trustees for Everyman Theatre in Cardiff, and she took on the huge task of redeveloping their website, appointing Savage and Gray to make it truly fit for the largest Open Air Festival in Wales. She was also their Marketing and Communications lead for three years. Emma directed her first show with the group in May 2017 and also acts with the Concept Players in Penarth.

In 2021, she set up her Millinery Business, and is now selling items through Etsy.
